  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese optional
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method

  1. Preheat Oven
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the chopped onion, garlic, and sauté until softened for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and cook in the oven for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 15 minutes until the rice is cooked and the cabbage is tender.
  9. (Optional): If using, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the casserole during the last 15 minutes of baking.
  10. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
